Background
The College of Technology Management (CTM) at the NTHU are committed to host the 2024 Joint Real Estate Conference by the Asian Real Estate Society (AsRES) with Global Chinese Real Estate Congress (GCREC) and American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA).
The conference provides a forum for academics, practitioners and policymakers in the areas of real estate finance, development and investment, housing, urban planning, urban economics, hospitality, and public policy to discuss and share their latest research and views on the global real estate market.
AsRES
Asian Real Estate Society (AsRES) was established in 1996 with the aim to produce and disseminate real estate knowledge with an emphasis on Asia. Starting with 60 founding members, AsRES has grown rapidly. In a short period, AsRES has established her presence in Asia by holding conferences in Hong Kong, Taipei, Hawaii, Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul, and Singapore. AsRES offers a great opportunity for anyone who would like to learn more about Asian real estate market and to interact with real estate educators and professionals in Asia.
GCREC
Global Chinese Real Estate Congress (GCREC) is a non-profit and non-political academic organization registered in Macao. GCREC aims to 1) promote the participation of Chinese in the research, education, and development of the real estate industry and its related fields, advancing professionalism in and enhancing sustainable development of the industry; 2) boost the communication and information exchange between researchers from tertiary institutions and practitioners of the real estate industry or related fields; and 3) elevate the ethics and morality of Chinese practitioners in the real estate industry or related fields, fostering their abilities to serve the society.
AREUEA
The American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA) was originated at the 1964 meeting of the Allied Social Science Association in Chicago. AREUEA grew from discussions of individuals that recognized a need for more information and analysis in the fields of real estate development, planning and economics.
